Acknowledgements
Digby War Memorial Hall gratefully acknowledges the support of numerous individuals, organizations, and funding bodies who have contributed to the establishment, maintenance, and improvement of our community hall.
Historical Recognition
Digby War Memorial Hall was established in 1951 to commemorate those from the village who served in the World Wars. We acknowledge the original committee members whose vision and dedication led to the creation of this important community space.
We also recognize the many families who made donations in memory of loved ones, as well as the original fundraising efforts that made the building of the hall possible.
Recent Funding Support
We are grateful to the following organizations for their financial support in recent years:
National Lottery Community Fund
Grant awarded in 2022 for hall refurbishment, including new heating system and energy efficiency improvements. This funding has significantly reduced our carbon footprint and operating costs.
Lincolnshire County Council
Provided funding in 2021 for accessibility improvements, including the installation of accessible toilets and entrance ramps. These improvements have made the hall more inclusive for all community members.
Digby Parish Council
Provides ongoing annual support for maintenance and operational costs. The Parish Council has been a steadfast supporter of the hall since its inception.
Local Business Support
We would like to thank the following local businesses for their generous contributions and support:
